PAUL SMITHS - The proposed Keystone XL pipeline seems like a long way away. But a group of students from a number of North Country colleges managed to get energized enough about the issue to fill a bus and travel all the way to Washington, D.C., to protest the project.  Read more of Jessica Collier's article here.

U.S Department of Energy’s Fluorescent Lighting Mandate
As of July 1, 2010 magnetic ballasts most commonly used for the operation of T-12 lamps will no longer be produced for commercial and industrial applications.
