State Adds $10 Million to Help Install Solar

 State Announces $10 million to help buy Solar PV Systems
 
Gov. David Paterson says $10 million in federal stimulus funds are available to subsidize solar energy projects in New York.
 
The state Energy Research and Development Authority will award the money through competitive statewide solicitation. The money is designed to help build a solar industry in the state by promoting the installation of photovoltaic systems. http://bit.ly/MG6lF

Local Food Economy

ADKCAP is developing 90 Percent Better. Electricity and oil users in the Adirondack who don't make it into the top 90 percent of energy users in their area would get a note from their energy supplier telling them that 90 percent of the people in their community pay a lower bill, and suggesting ways to address their excess uses, including supplying contacts for certified energy auditors.
